|
01 September 1998 Dear Colleague, You are invited to submit one or more proposals for experiments utilizing the facilities of the James R. Macdonald Laboratory (JRML) for the period beginning 21 November 1998 and extending to 20 May 1999. The proposal should include a description of the work to be done, the facilities required to perform the experiment, identification of the participants in the experiment, amount of facility time needed to perform the experiment and any special requirements associated with the experiment. The form available below should be completed (one per proposal) and submitted to the JRML PAC at the indicated address. The proposals are due by 30 September 1998. The PAC will review the proposals and their decisions on the proposals will be available by 26 October 1998. Each project will be assigned a project number. If the proposal is approved, one may request beam time on the facilities at JRML through the JRML web page (http://www.phys.ksu.edu/area/jrm) beam time request form. The project number box on the form must be completed for the request to be considered. The schedule of assigned beam times may be viewed on the JRML web page as well. In the future, we plan to "electronically" call for proposals via email and use of our web site. To be included on this electronic mailing list, please send your email address to Tracy Tipping. We look forward to receiving your User Proposal(s). Sincerely yours,
