We demonstrated that the shot-to-shot timing jitter of a streak camera could be significantly reduced with a fast-risetime sweeping pulse. The resolution is further improved by restricting the transverse electron angular distribution. We obtained 590 fs resolution when over 6000 laser shots were accumulated.
