From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
Any remodeling project begins with demolishing the old. These photos show us gutting the former Linac areas and shuffling large equipment around to make space for the new PULSAR laser.
