From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
By Thanksgiving, the High Intensity Tunable Source (HITS) area approached its final appearance. The walls and ceiling were done, AC machinery in place, and fresh paint applied. New power handling equipment would be the last addition.
