JRM Logo Ice Storm 2007

Starting on Monday, 10 December 2007 the Great Plains suffered an enormous ice storm, and Manhattan was particulary hard-hit. There was massive damage to trees and widespread, long-lasting power outages. Despite the hardships, though, there was a certain fairyland beauty to the ice-covered landscape. These photos, taken around my home and the Kansas State campus, should convey both the beauty and the damages. There's also some video of the partial meltdown the following Thursday.
