"Matthew Allin the son of Gorg Allin Sener and Sara Kerby were married on the 6th of June 1657."

Jack MacDonald who has a huge volume of information on the Internet concerning the Allens wrote
the following in an email dated 31 Dec 2001:
"We know that the ship's list is wrong as it pertains to George's age. Based upon the fact that Matthew
shows up on the 1643 list of 'Those Able to Bear Arms', but William does not, I believe the ship's list may
also have been inaccurate regarding their ages (reversed). Simple stated, I trust the list of 'Those Able
to Bear Arms' more than the passenger list which we already know has an inaccuracy." With Jack's logic,
Matthew would have been 8 and William 6 in 1636 when they accompanied their father, George, to America.
