"ABIGAIL HOWELL, daughter of Hezekiah & Susannah (Sayre) Howell, was born on 16 Sep 1745.
The will of John J. Carpenter of Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York, dated 31 Jan 1766, left
his sister-in-law Abigail Howell a gold ring at the price of 30 shillings (CNYHS 31:149). She was married
in 1767 to Captain EBENEZER WOODHULL, son of Nathaniel & Sarah (Smith) Woodhull. He was born
at Mastic, Long Island on 2 Feb 1742. They removed to Orange County, New York. Ebenezer Woodhull
died on 4 Oct 1803. Abigail (Howell) Woodhull died on 21 Nov 1829."

"The parish register in Marsh Gibbon states, that Frances, wife of Edward Howell, Gent, was
buried the 2nd of July, 1630. He afterward married Eleanor -------. His son Richard, "baptized
1629, married Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Halsey (the first of the name in America). His son
Hezekiah, born 1677; married Phoebe, daughter of Thomas Halsey, (2nd). He was known as Lieutenant
Hezekiah Halsey Howell. His son Hezekiah (was known as Hezekiah (1st), being the first to settle
at Blooming Grove, New York) was born May 6th, 1709; married Susanna, daughter of Job Sayre.
Their son Hezekiah (2nd, in the town of Blooming Grove), born September 13, 1741; married Juliana
Woodhull, whose daughter Abigail married Captain Ebenezer Woodhull."

Blooming Grove, was in active service in the Revolution, and became captain of the Light Horse
Troop, Cornwall Precinct Regiment."
