From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
Vinod Kumarappan's experiments have moved into KLS, Brett DePaola's magneto-optical trap (MOT) has moved into Vinod's former area, and Carlos Trallero's new High Intensity Tunable Source (HITS) will move into the former MOT area after remodeling. Here we see the MOT area as we begin to clean it out.
