From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
PULSAR gets a nice smooth, clean epoxy floor. A sandy base layer went on first, followed by the sealing layers. The last six photos show the finished floor after about a week of repeated coatings. Apologies for the flash flaring from the workmen's safety vests.
