From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
Early May sees the hangars for the suspend ceilings go up, along with more electrical conduit and wiring. Lighting fixtures are stacked against the wall waiting to be mounted and hooked up, restoring light that the new roof is denying for the moment.
